What SimplePickPhoto does
SimplePickPhoto is a short-term photo-selection workspace for photographers. A photographer uploads photos, creates a protected link, and a client selects photos without creating an account.
Information we process
We process photographer account details, subscription and billing identifiers, project and client labels entered by the photographer, watermarked photo previews, selection results, security logs, and basic technical information needed to operate and protect the service. Payment-card information is collected and handled by Stripe, not stored by SimplePickPhoto.
Photo handling and retention
Uploaded image files are used to create watermarked, lower-resolution previews. Temporary source uploads are deleted immediately after processing. Each library preview and thumbnail expires 30 days after its upload. Share links last up to 30 days and cannot outlive the earliest library photo expiry. Submitted thumbnails and original filenames are retained independently for 30 days from submission, even if the source library expires first. Access ends at expiry; scheduled storage cleanup follows. Deleting a project also deletes its pick sets. SimplePickPhoto is not a backup or permanent gallery service.
Service providers
We use service providers including Supabase for authentication and database services, Cloudflare for image/object infrastructure, Vercel for application hosting, Stripe for billing, and account-email infrastructure where required. These providers process information under their own service and privacy terms.
Usage analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate page visits and a small set of product milestones, such as successful registration, project setup, client selection, and subscription activation. Analytics data may include the visited route, referrer, approximate location, browser, operating system, device type, and event time. Vercel Web Analytics uses a request-derived hash for short-lived visitor identification rather than third-party analytics cookies, and discards the visitor session after 24 hours.
Before analytics events are sent, SimplePickPhoto removes query strings and fragments and replaces share tokens, project IDs, and pick-batch IDs in routes with fixed placeholders. Product-event properties are limited to fixed categories and counts. We do not send email addresses, client-link passwords, project or client names, photo filenames, access tokens, or platform account IDs as analytics properties.
Optional advertising measurement
If you arrive through an approved SimplePickPhoto Google Search ad, we ask before saving an optional first-party measurement cookie. If you allow it, we retain the Google ad click identifier, campaign and country for up to 90 days. After a confirmed photographer registration, we may link that information to an internal account identifier for up to 180 days so we can measure whether advertising leads to registrations and retained paid subscriptions.
This measurement does not include uploaded photos, photo selections, project or client names, filenames, passwords, or email addresses. We do not place a Google advertising tag, use this information for remarketing, or build a cross-site profile. Registration results may later be reported to Google Ads using the original click identifier; subscription, refund, dispute, and retention outcomes remain reconciled within SimplePickPhoto rather than sent as customer details to Google.
Why we use information
We use information to provide and secure the service, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use client photos to train photo-selection models.
Use of AI
SimplePickPhoto does not use AI to choose photos, score clients, edit uploaded images, or make decisions for photographers or clients. The production application does not automatically send uploaded photos or client selections to a general-purpose AI model.
AI-assisted tools may be used internally to help draft code, documentation, or research summaries. A human reviews those outputs before code is deployed or the output is relied on. We do not use uploaded photos or client selections to train a SimplePickPhoto photo-selection model. If AI is added to the customer-facing product in the future, we will update this notice and the product controls before enabling it.
Your choices
Photographers can delete projects from the application and manage billing through the Stripe-hosted billing portal. Advertising measurement is optional: declining it does not affect access to the service, and browser controls can remove its cookie. To request account access, correction, or deletion, use the contact method on the Support page. Some minimal records may be retained where required for security, accounting, dispute, or legal purposes.
